Brand identities, communication strategy, and launch kit get Lunar Mission One off the ground and into the atmosphere.
The goal of Lunar Mission One is to collect a core sample of the moon for research and place a time capsule of the world’s digital information in its place. Lunar Mission Everyone gives young adults and children ages 4-24 the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share their stories to be stored in a digital archive on the moon. LM1 called on a team of designers to develop brand identities for both programs, a communication strategy, and launch kit to introduce their mission to the world.

Branding the Lunar Mission
The Master Brand features a custom font created from the rounded corners of the viewfinder logomark. The viewfinder is representative of the “snapshot” of life on Earth that the time capsule will capture with contributions from people around the world.

LM1, the lunar time capsule mission, communicates to scientists, researchers, and the general public about the overall space mission. Its goal is to involve interested groups and collect donations to help support the programs. Messaging and graphics aim to inform people about the goals, purpose, and value of LM1 to get them excited and involved in the program.
Lunar Mission Everyone: Sub-Brand
Lunar Mission Everyone is a program for children and young adults to submit their stories into the LM1 archive that will be buried on the moon. Lunar Mission Everyone builds on the concept and structure of the Master Brand while establishing its own identity.

Archie the Archive personifies the deliverance of students’ stories from Earth to the Moon. Archie is friendly, exploratory, and powerful, encouraging students to share their stories.
Social Media Marketing for Two Distinct Audiences
